It is with heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of Logan Bemis, a young man whose bright spirit touched the lives of many in Franklin, Pennsylvania. Logan, age 21, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home. Born on November 12, 2004, in Seneca, Pennsylvania, he was a son, a father, a fiancé, a friend, and a talented young man whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Logan graduated from Oil City Senior High School in 2023 and was known for his friendly demeanor and easy-going nature. He worked at Post Consumer Brands in Meadville, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a desire to provide for his family. Beyond his job, Logan was a person who loved spending time with loved ones, always eager to share stories, jokes, and good news. His storytelling ability and engaging personality made him a favorite among friends and family alike. His warm smile and genuine kindness made it easy for others to connect with him.
Logan was a talented mechanic, often fixing his own car and helping others with theirs. He took pride in his mechanical skills and was always eager to prove his abilities when challenged. His interests extended to hunting and fishing, activities he enjoyed sharing with friends and family, often excitedly recounting his latest catch or hunting trip. An energetic and curious individual, Logan questioned things and was known to be a bit stubborn at times, but this only reflected his strong personality and desire to understand the world around him. His intelligence and quick wit suggested he might have made a good attorney someday, as he often presented well-reasoned arguments and counterpoints.
Most importantly, Logan loved his daughter, Brynleigh Bemis, and his fiancée, Halyne Riley, both of Franklin. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was a caring, compassionate person whose light shone brightly in this world, even amidst his personal struggles. Logan was actively working towards a better future for himself and his loved ones, and his efforts did not go unnoticed.
His family and friends remember him not for what he lacked but for the joy, laughter, and kindness he shared. Logan’s untimely passing leaves a significant void, as he was just beginning to explore life’s possibilities. He planned on getting married, but that chapter will now remain unfulfilled. He will never see his daughter grow up, watch his brothers graduate, or spend time with his family and friends. His favorite foods, like the Nutella cake his aunt made and his Grammie’s home-cooked meals, will forever be memories cherished by those who loved him.
In his memory, the family asks that those who attend the memorial service, scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, from 12-2 at Reinsel Funeral Home, complete an act of kindness for someone else. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Reinsel Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses. Logan’s life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and hope. His family encourages everyone to remember him with kindness, compassion, and the understanding that he is deeply loved and missed.
